ABOUT DEAN CROSS

That is his given name and that is his title. Ironically, Dean is also the Dean of California English School.

A best selling author, Dean has been writing books for about 45 years, 230+ books, in most clean genres, both fiction and non-fiction.

In the US AIr Force, Dean rose from Airman Basic to Major. As a pilot, he can fly anything with wings, to wit: the Piper Cub, the Boeing 707, the SR-71, and the Marine Corps F-35C. Literally. During the cold war, he was among the first western pilots to be photographed in a Soviet MiG-21 F.

He won the combat Distinguisned Flying Cross and 6 Air Medals.

He flew three combat tours, two of them refueling the tri-sonic SR-71 inflight. More people have been to the moon than have flown the SR-71.

At SAC headquarters, he brought in the world's largest compuiter system a month early, and under budget. He solved the massive five-languages, four-mainfram computer Aircrew Scheduling System on his own minuscule TRS-80 computer.

He was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, the highest non-combat medal possible.

Upon USAF Retirement, his first book, "Debugging Java" (about a bug-free computer language) written in just 31 days, was an instant hit, being translated into at least 13 other languages, selling thousands of copies its first month. That same month, he published a Christian, psychological mystery novel, and a semi-autobiographical wartime flying novel. He types fast.

He has written about 40 clean and sweet, heart-throbbing Romance books, the latest being: "The GRUMPY Series."

Currently, he has written eight books of Future Science, projecting known physics into the most likely future: trips to the Asteroid Belt between Mars and Jupiter, to find rare, invaluable metals. These are "The Asteroid Colony Series."

His "Mach-6 Series" has evidently given NASA the tools, design, and technology to develop a Mach-6 aircraft with features like no windows, hingeless control surfaces, flame fronts to control combustion inside engines, and a pliable aircraft skin to adapt to various speed realms. These technologies exist.

His books like "Believe in Rainbows" inspire awe into the human condition.

Dean lives joyfully in San Diego, California with his family. He answers every email personally.
