Rancher Caleb Morgan is out in a wild Wyoming midnight thunderstorm checking his cattle.  He hears a human moan in the sheets of freezing rain.

He rushes to help, and it's a young woman, sodden, freezing, dying in the mud. 

She brandishes a huge knife.

"Whoa there. I would not hurt a soul. Put that thing down. A knife won't help you get dry."

Reluctantly, she accepts his offer of help.
